4Seas: a crypto residency house in Chiang Mai

4Seas is a coliving and coworking space in Nimman, Chiang Mai, with a specific community behind it. It grew out of Zuzalu, the pop-up city experiment, and it now runs year-round as a house where builders live together instead of meeting at conferences.

What 4Seas Does

• Private rooms with a coworking floor attached. Living space, desks and an event room in one building, so the commute is a staircase.
• Resident-run programming. Weekly recurring events including talks, screenings and open discussion nights, most of them proposed by the people staying there rather than by staff.
• A dedicated event space and library. Used for residencies, hackathons and exhibitions, including multi-week programs that take over the house.
• Longer residency programs. Themed cohorts run for weeks at a time and are announced with their own dates.
• A base in Nimman. Chiang Mai's coworking district, walkable to cafes and close to the rest of the city's remote-work scene.

Why It Makes Sense for Nomads

Most colivings are general purpose and the community is whoever booked that month. This one is not: the house is oriented around crypto and Ethereum work, and the people in the kitchen are likely to be working on the same things you are. That is either exactly what you want or completely irrelevant to you, and it is worth knowing which before you book.

Chiang Mai does the rest of the work. It is one of the cheapest cities in the world with genuinely fast internet, a dense cafe scene and a long-established remote-work population, so a month there costs a fraction of a comparable month in Europe.

The trade is specificity. If you are not in or curious about that world, a general coliving in the same city will give you a broader mix of people for less money.
