Bela Vista: a family property in the eastern Algarve, set up for kite nomads

Bela Vista is a coliving on a hillside between Olhao and Fuseta, in the quieter eastern stretch of the Algarve. The property has been in the same Portuguese family since 1942, and it is run as a coliving and watersports base rather than as a hotel.

Why It Makes Sense for Nomads

The eastern Algarve is the part that did not get overbuilt. Olhao is a working fishing port with one of the best markets in Portugal, Fuseta is a small lagoon town, and the Ria Formosa nature park sits between them and the sea. It is a very different Algarve from Albufeira an hour west.

For kitesurfing specifically the lagoon is a strong argument: flat water, reliable wind and space, with somewhere to work in between sessions.
