Blue Paradise: a city coliving in Tenerife's capital
Blue Paradise is in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the island's capital, rather than in the resort south or the rural north. That puts a real Spanish city, the Anaga mountains and the beaches all within reach of the same house.
What Blue Paradise Does
- Private rooms, every one en suite. No shared bathrooms anywhere in the house.
- Two proper coworking rooms. Height-adjustable desks, large monitors, ergonomic chairs and ocean views, which is a better setup than most colivings offer.
- A garden and communal spaces. Including a ping pong table and mango trees, with the city centre walkable from the door.
- Host-organised weekend trips. Around the island, which is how residents see beyond the capital without renting a car each time.
- A cooking culture. The operator puts shared meals at the centre of how the house works.
Why It Makes Sense for Nomads
Santa Cruz is the part of Tenerife that most visitors skip and most residents prefer. It has the museums, the bars, the carnival and the actual daily life of the island, plus bus links to beaches and to the Anaga range, which is some of the best hiking in the Canaries.
The workspace specification is the differentiator here. Adjustable desks and external monitors are rare in colivings and make a real difference over a month of full working days.
The Canaries generally deliver the same pitch: EU rules, euro pricing, one hour from mainland Spain, twenty degrees in winter. Santa Cruz adds a city to that, which the beach towns cannot.
Pricing
Around 810 euros a month for a private en-suite room, with a 30 night minimum. Check the site for current rates and discounts.
The right Tenerife base if you want a city rather than a resort.
