Caminho: a creative coliving on the edge of Porto

Caminho is a coliving in a restored stone house in Moreira, near Maia and within easy reach of Porto and the airport. What sets it apart is the deliberate focus on making things: there is a creative atelier on site, weekly artistic and cultural workshops, and residents are encouraged to produce rather than just work.

What Caminho Does

  • Private rooms, each themed on a mandala. Individual rather than uniform, in a stone house surrounded by greenery.
  • Plans from 700 to 980 euros a month. Community stays at the lower end, an en-suite Renewal suite at the top, with a second person in the room at plus 200.
  • A genuinely inclusive rate. Bed linen, weekly common-area cleaning, laundry, fibre, coworking and atelier access are all in the price.
  • A creative atelier and weekly workshops. The core of the concept, alongside community dinners.
  • Reported 367 Mbps down. With progressive discounts the longer you stay.

Why It Makes Sense for Nomads

Porto is one of the best value cities in western Europe and it has become genuinely busy. Sitting fifteen minutes out near the airport keeps the city accessible while dropping the price and the crowds, and puts you next to the transport link you will actually use.

The art focus is the reason to choose this over a generic Porto coliving. If you write, draw, make music or otherwise produce something outside client work, a house with a studio and a weekly workshop schedule is a different environment from one with a shared desk.

Two notes. The site is mostly in Portuguese, and being outside the city means public transport or a car for evenings in Porto.

Pricing

Monthly plans from 700 euros for a community stay to 980 for the en-suite suite, plus 200 for a second person. One month minimum, with discounts for longer stays.

Choose it if you want to make something during the month, not just get through the work.
