Coliving 1907 is an eight room coliving in a restored historic house in the old centre of Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, opened in 2021. Rooms with a shared bathroom run around 870 euros a month and private-bathroom rooms about 930, with a seven night minimum. Each room is named after a Gran Canaria landmark and there is a virtual tour on the site.

Coliving 1907: a restored house in old Las Palmas

Coliving 1907 occupies a historic house in the old centre of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, renovated and reopened as an eight room coliving in late 2021. The rooms are named after places on the island, from Roque Nublo to Tamadaba, and the building itself is part of the appeal.

What Coliving 1907 Does

  • Eight rooms in a restored historic building. Small enough that the house works as a group.
  • Two bathroom tiers. Shared-bathroom rooms from around 29 euros a night and private-bathroom rooms from 31, roughly 870 and 930 a month.
  • A published virtual tour. A 3D walkthrough of the spaces, which is more transparency than most colivings offer before you pay.
  • Shared common areas and an events programme. With a resident community rather than a rotating hotel crowd.
  • A seven night minimum. Short enough to try, long enough to settle.

Why It Makes Sense for Nomads

Las Palmas is arguably the best all-round nomad city in the Canaries. It is a real city of around 380,000 people with a university, a beach in the middle of it at Las Canteras, an old town, and one of the most stable climates on earth, sitting around twenty degrees year round.

The old centre, Vegueta and Triana, is the part with the character: colonial architecture, museums, tapas bars and none of the resort development further south. Living in a restored 1907 house there is a very different experience from a modern block by the beach.

Note that the site is mostly in Spanish, with an English option, and rates are given nightly rather than monthly.

Pricing

From around 29 euros a night for a shared-bathroom room and 31 for a private one, roughly 870 to 930 a month. Seven night minimum.

The character option in a city that mostly offers apartments.
