Why It Makes Sense for Nomads

Pune is India's quieter tech city, a couple of hours inland from Mumbai and considerably more liveable. It has a large young professional population, a real startup scene, better air and weather than Delhi or Mumbai, and costs that are low even by Indian standards.

For a foreign remote worker, Pune is a plausible base if you want India without Goa's seasonality or Bangalore's traffic. The Western Ghats are close for weekends and Mumbai is reachable for flights.
