Coworkerei: cowork, coliving and a workshop in Tyrol
Coworkerei is in Mils, a village between Innsbruck and Wattens in the Austrian Tyrol. The core of the business is coworking, with a fabrication lab, storage boxes and coliving rooms alongside it, which makes it a broader workspace operation than a coliving in the usual sense.
What Coworkerei Does
- Coworking from around 59 euros a month. With a free trial membership, aimed at local entrepreneurs as much as visitors.
- A fab lab and workshop. Machines and tools on site, which is genuinely rare and useful if you make physical things.
- Coliving rooms. Private and shared, though rates are not published on the site.
- Self-storage. Practical for anyone between places or storing equipment.
- Workshops and training. Part of the community programme, run in German.
Why It Makes Sense for Nomads
The Tyrol is one of the most spectacular parts of the Alps and Innsbruck is a proper city, with a university, an international airport and ski areas reachable by bus from the centre. Mils sits a few minutes east, which is cheaper and quieter while staying connected.
The fab lab is the unusual part. If your work involves prototyping, making or repairing, having access to a workshop alongside a desk and a room is a combination almost no coliving offers.
Be clear about the fit. This is a local business community rather than an international nomad house, the site and the programming are in German, and the coliving is a secondary product with no published rates. Ask specifically about rooms.

Go for the workshop and the mountains, not for a nomad crowd.
