ecoVita: a permaculture farm in southeast Sardinia

ecoVita is an agriturismo and permaculture project near San Priamo, in the Sarrabus region of southeastern Sardinia. It is a working farm first: sustainable agriculture, a bio-lake, vegetable gardens and a chicken run, with accommodation in a sustainably built farmhouse and glamping units.

What ecoVita Does

  • Private rooms in a sustainable farmhouse. Plus agri-glamping units, built with bioarchitecture principles.
  • A working farm. Gardens, a chicken run and a Mediterranean park, with produce feeding the kitchen.
  • Its own kitchen and menus. Local Sardinian cooking from what the farm and the region produce.
  • Guided excursions. Into the Sarrabus, including the Riu Picocca and the Nuraghe Basoru.
  • A three night minimum. From around 38 euros a night, roughly 1,020 to 1,140 a month.

Why It Makes Sense for Nomads

Southeastern Sardinia is one of the least developed coastal regions in the western Mediterranean, with beaches that would be famous anywhere else and a hinterland of granite hills and cork oak. Cagliari and its airport are about an hour away.

An agriturismo is a different proposition from a coliving. You are on a farm, eating what it produces, among people whose main business is agriculture rather than hospitality. For a slow month with a strong sense of place, that is a feature.

Two things to be clear about. This is not set up primarily as a remote-work space, so confirm the working conditions and internet before booking a month. And the site is in Italian with an English toggle.

Pricing

From around 38 euros a night, roughly 1,020 to 1,140 a month, with a three night minimum.

A farm stay with a Sardinian coastline attached, rather than a coliving with a garden.
