What The Exploring Families Does

Why It Makes Sense for Nomads

The teens and tweens editions are the reason to pay attention. Worldschooling infrastructure collapses once children pass about twelve: the hubs are full of primary-age kids, and a thirteen-year-old ends up as the odd one out at exactly the age when peer contact matters most. Running gatherings pitched at that group is a genuinely scarce offering in Europe.

The format is the other differentiator. This is not a school with accommodation attached, it is a group of families spending several weeks in the same place with a loose shared rhythm. That is cheaper than a permanent hub, less structured, and better suited to families who want community without buying a curriculum.

The sharing circles are worth flagging separately. Worldschooling parents are frequently isolated in their doubts, and a facilitated space to admit that something is not working is more valuable than another activity slot.

Gatherings are priced individually and are considerably cheaper than permanent hub programmes. Popular editions book out well ahead and run waiting lists, so enquire early.
