INFINI: an oceanfront house in Bahia

INFINI is a small coliving on the beach at Jaua, along the coast from Salvador in Bahia. It is built around a slower pace and genuine immersion in Brazilian culture, with a resident mix of remote workers, artists and slow travellers.

What INFINI Does

  • Private rooms in a small oceanfront villa. From around 3,813 reais a month in low season, up to 5,363 for the premium ocean-view room with a private bathroom.
  • Measured internet, not advertised. The operator published a real speedtest at 190 Mbps down and 154 up on a 300 Mbps fibre line, which is a rare and welcome piece of honesty.
  • A community art project attached. The founder runs Ondas de Arte, working with the local community on murals, creative residencies and cultural exchange.
  • Rates that vary by season and length. With no fixed minimum stay, so short visits are possible.
  • A coworking setup with the beach outside. Rural and eco-oriented rather than urban.

Why It Makes Sense for Nomads

Bahia is the cultural heart of Brazil, and Salvador is its centre: Afro-Brazilian music, capoeira, the Pelourinho old town, and food unlike anywhere else in the country. Staying up the coast at Jaua gives you the beach and the quiet with the city within reach.

The art project is what distinguishes this from a beach guesthouse. Being connected to something local and ongoing is a different experience from staying near a community you never meet.

Two things to weigh. Brazilian coastal prices here are not low, and the house is small, so plan ahead. Salvador's airport is reasonably close, which helps.

Pricing

From around 3,813 reais a month in low season for the smallest room, roughly 123 reais a night, up to 5,363 for the premium ocean-view room. Rates vary by season and stay length.

Bahia with a purpose, and an operator honest enough to publish a real speedtest.
