INHIVE is a coliving in Mimaroba, in the Buyukcekmece district on the Marmara coast west of central Istanbul. The name comes from a beehive, and the operator's framing is explicit: cities grew and people drifted apart, so the offer is a home and a community rather than an apartment.
Istanbul is one of the great cities of the world and extremely good value for foreign earners, with the lira's weakness making restaurants, transport and rent cheap in euro or dollar terms. It also straddles Europe and Asia with flight connections almost everywhere.
Buyukcekmece is well outside the centre, on the coast toward the airport. That means more space, sea air and lower prices, at the cost of a long commute into Beyoglu or Kadikoy. Whether that trade works depends on whether you want the city daily or as a weekend destination.
