Masseria Olga: a Puglian farmhouse for remote workers

Masseria Olga is a rural coliving in a historic masseria in the Valle d'Itria, the part of Puglia known for trulli, olive groves and white hill towns. It is a seasonal operation, opening on 1 May, and it is built for digital nomads who want the Italian countryside rather than the coast.

What Masseria Olga Does

  • Private rooms from around 600 euros a month. Or 150 to 200 a week, with a 10 percent discount bringing the monthly rate to about 690 from 900 at some tiers.
  • Starlink internet over 100 Mbps. Which is how a stone farmhouse in the countryside becomes a workable base.
  • Ergonomic workspaces. Set up for full working days rather than occasional use.
  • Community dinners and daily activities. With a shared kitchen and outdoor space.
  • A 14 night minimum. Two weeks, which suits the seasonal rhythm.

Why It Makes Sense for Nomads

The Valle d'Itria is the most beautiful part of Puglia: Alberobello's trulli, Locorotondo, Martina Franca and Ostuni all within a short drive, with the Adriatic and Ionian coasts on either side.

Puglia is still meaningfully cheaper than Tuscany or the Amalfi coast, and the food is arguably better. Being inland rather than on the coast keeps prices lower and the summer crowds further away.

Two practical notes. This is a seasonal operation, so check the opening dates before planning, and rural Puglia requires a car. Bari and Brindisi airports are both reachable.

Pricing

Private rooms from around 600 euros a month, or 150 to 200 a week, with discounts bringing longer stays to about 690 from 900. Fourteen night minimum.

The Italian countryside people imagine, with Starlink pointed at it.
