MOOM: a tiny conscious coliving in northern Germany
MOOM is a small coliving in the countryside near Rendsburg, between Kiel and Flensburg in Schleswig-Holstein, not far from the Baltic. It calls itself a tiny conscious coliving, and the daily rhythm it describes is specific: yoga or coffee in the garden, focused work, a shared vegetarian lunch, more work, then a walk along the Eider or a community meeting.
What MOOM Does
- Private rooms with a workspace and a view of nature. From around 819 euros a month, or 379 for a single week.
- An optional food plan. Vegetarian and vegan meals at 13 to 15 euros a day.
- A seven night minimum. Which makes a week-long trial straightforward.
- A mindful communication focus. Community meetings and inner growth as explicit parts of the offer.
- A deliberately low-stimulus setting. Small-town and rural rather than urban, with fewer distractions by design.
Why It Makes Sense for Nomads
Northern Germany is not on any nomad list, which is part of the appeal. Schleswig-Holstein is flat, green and quiet, with the Baltic coast, Kiel's harbour and the Danish border all close, and Hamburg reachable in about an hour and a half.
The conscious framing is genuine rather than marketing. If mindful communication and shared vegetarian meals sound appealing, this is built for you; if they sound like overhead, a different house will suit better.
The site is in German, and the rural location means a bike or a car helps considerably.
