Passport Explorers

Passport Explorers

Categories

Passport Explorers is a worldschooling and digital nomad family blog run by Michelle, Jake and their three children, who have travelled full time since 2016 across more than 70 countries and all seven continents. Alongside destination guides it publishes detailed reviews of actual worldschooling programmes, including several Boundless Life locations. Those reviews are the part worth reading, since almost nobody else publishes independent write-ups of the hubs.

Passport Explorers: independent reviews of the hubs, not just destinations

What Passport Explorers Does

  • Worldschooling programme reviews: first-hand write-ups of hubs and programmes they have actually attended, including multiple Boundless Life locations and Worldschool Mexico.
  • Destination guides for families: Antarctica, Jordan, the Caribbean, Colombia and a wide spread of Europe, written from the perspective of arriving with three children.
  • Practical worldschooling content: how the education side works in practice, what it costs, and what changes as the kids get older.
  • Ten years of continuous travel: over 70 countries and all seven continents as a family since 2016, so the archive covers a lot of ground.

Why It Makes Sense for Nomads

Worldschooling hubs are expensive, and almost all the information about them is published by the hubs themselves. Independent reviews from a family who paid, attended and then wrote it up honestly are genuinely scarce, and they are the most valuable thing on this site. If you are weighing a semester at a specific programme, the review here is likely the only outside account you will find.

The long timeline helps too. A family ten years into full-time travel has already been through the phases that worry newcomers: toddlers, school-age children, and the point where the eldest starts having opinions about where they live. The archive covers those transitions rather than only the honeymoon year.

They previously published as Retired Toddlers, so older references and backlinks may use that name.
