samesame: an urban coliving in the middle of Lisbon
samesame is a coliving in Lisbon's city centre that positions itself carefully: not a hotel, not a hostel, a different way of living. It offers private rooms with shared spaces alongside fully private apartments, plus short stays for people passing through.
What samesame Does
- Private rooms and full apartments. Two formats under one roof, so privacy is a choice rather than a compromise.
- From around 800 euros a month. With an eight night minimum, which is short for Lisbon.
- Short stays as well. A separate product for people who want a few nights.
- A central Lisbon location. With the city immediately outside the door.
- Optional community. The operator is explicit that there are always people around and always space to not join in.
Why It Makes Sense for Nomads
Lisbon is the most established nomad city in Europe, with the infrastructure, the flights, the weather and the English-speaking population to match. It has also become expensive and politically strained around housing, which makes decent monthly options harder to find than the reputation suggests.
An eight night minimum is genuinely useful here. Most Lisbon colivings want a month, and being able to take a week and extend suits how people actually arrive in the city.
The optional-community framing is honest and rare. Colivings often oversell the group; this one says openly that you can tell your whole story or say nothing.
Pricing
From around 800 euros a month for a private room, with apartments priced higher and an eight night minimum. Short stays available separately.
Central Lisbon, a short minimum, and no obligation to be sociable.
