SC Coliving: the remote-work side of Sprachcaffe's Malta operation
SC Coliving is the coliving and coworking product from Sprachcaffe in St Julian's, Malta, aimed at freelancers, startups, creative people and project teams rather than at language students. It is the sister property to SC Club Village.
What SC Coliving Does
- Coliving and coworking together. Sold as one offering rather than separate products.
- From around 14 euros a day. Roughly 420 euros a month, which is very cheap for the EU.
- Private and shared rooms. Though per-room pricing is not published.
- A networking and exchange focus. Positioned around mutual help between independent workers.
- Team retreat capacity. Project teams from larger companies are an explicit target.
Why It Makes Sense for Nomads
Malta's case is strong and often overlooked: English as an official language, EU and Schengen membership, mild winters, and a nomad residence permit for non-EU citizens. The island is small enough that everywhere is twenty minutes away.
At around 420 euros a month equivalent, this is among the cheapest options in western Europe, which is the main reason to consider it. St Julian's puts you at the centre of the island's social life.
Two things to weigh. The sister property under the same group carries a weak 3.2 rating, so ask specifically what the coliving accommodation is and see photos. And the parent company is a language school operator, so the wider environment skews young and course-based.
