Why It Makes Sense for Nomads

Four hundred pounds a month in the UK is remarkable, and it exists because Blackpool is a seaside town well past its Victorian peak with correspondingly low property costs. You get a big Victorian house, gigabit internet, the Lake District within reach, and Manchester an hour away.

Siwa is the more romantic proposition: a Berber oasis near the Libyan border with salt lakes, hot springs and the Oracle of Amun, reachable by a long bus from Cairo or Marsa Matruh.
