StartArt: a residency where the week is the unit

StartArt is a creative hub in Loureira, near Vila Verde in the Braga region about forty minutes from Porto. It is a paid artist residency rather than a conventional coliving: rates are weekly, and they include meals and studio access. Creatives from more than sixty countries have passed through.

Why It Makes Sense for Nomads

The Minho, the green north of Portugal, is a different country from the Algarve: river valleys, vinho verde vineyards, granite villages, and Braga and Guimaraes nearby. Porto's airport is forty minutes away.

Meals and studio access included changes what a week here is. This is closer to a structured retreat than an accommodation booking, which suits people with something specific to make and less well if you want a flexible base.
