Tres Bandeiras: an award-winning house on the Ericeira cliffs

Tres Bandeiras is a coliving on the cliffs above Ericeira, in Carvoeira, aimed at founders, creators and changemakers. It won Rural Coliving at the 2025 Coliving Awards, and the setup is deliberate: eight private en-suite rooms in a 550 square metre house with a capacity of nine.

Why It Makes Sense for Nomads

Ericeira holds Europe's only World Surfing Reserve designation and sits forty five minutes from Lisbon airport, which is a rare combination of good surf and easy access.

The house is organised around three ideas the operator calls co-living, co-creating and co-thriving: the right people, protected focus, and physical life through surf, sauna and walking. Whether that framing appeals is the main self-selection test.
