Wander Worldschool is a podcast hosted by Suzy May about how families plan and fund slow, long-term travel, rather than about where to go once they have. Episodes interview worldschooling leaders, hub founders and travelling families about money, education choices, van life and remote work. It fills the gap most family travel content leaves open, which is the boring financial and logistical planning that decides whether the trip happens at all.

Wander Worldschool: the money and planning conversation nobody else has

What Wander Worldschool Does

  • Funding long-term travel: episodes dedicated to how families actually pay for years on the road, which is the question every aspiring nomad family asks first and finds answered last.
  • Planning conversations: interviews with families about how they structured the departure, from selling the house to timing the school exit.
  • Worldschooling leaders and hub founders: guests include the people running the communities and programmes, so you hear the operator's view alongside the attendee's.
  • Every format covered: van life, gap years, slow travel, homeschooling approaches, remote work and digital nomad setups.
  • Widely distributed: available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music and by RSS.

Why It Makes Sense for Nomads

The family nomad internet is saturated with destination content and almost silent on the two things that actually determine whether a family goes: how it is paid for, and how the departure is sequenced. This podcast is aimed squarely at that gap, and the funding episodes in particular are more candid about numbers than most blogs are willing to be.

Interviewing hub founders as well as families is the other useful choice. Hearing an operator explain how their programme is designed, and what kind of family it does not suit, is a far better filter than reading their landing page.

It is also easy content to consume during the phase when you are researching. Nobody planning a family relocation has spare hours to read, but everyone has a commute or a washing-up shift.
